Nostalgia sequels ek minefield hote hain, lekin Awarapan 2 is mein se aksar se behtar nikalti hai. 2007 ke original ne salon mein ek genuine cult banaya tha — Emraan Hashmi ka tormented gangster, Bhatt-style romantic fatalism — aur yeh follow-up samajhta hai ke logon ko plot mechanics nahi, mood yaad hai.
